Series of video compositions published to social media | 2020

This series of short videos is about the potential of strengthening and fortifying a solo practice while maintaining awareness of other people in our orbit.

Created in New York City during the pandemic of 2020, Practice-Practice is grounded in the artist's personal history in music and martial arts, where he enjoys encountering a diversity of physical and mental strategies for adapting to conflict and stress. Participants were invited to send unedited video of their chosen physical practice to the artist.

This series is related to Center-Surround, a multi-channel video project about martial-arts and world-wide catastrophe.
